I have travelled thruout the US.. to all 50 states and to all of the provinces of Canada as well... I travel quite a bit. Most of those you list are fairly homogenous in their ethnic makeup.

>If there was a plan, was this all part of it, or did it fail?

Plans never really fail. They are touted if they succeed at all, and forgotten when they don't. For example, check out this quote from John Boehner (R-OH):

--------------------
I think it will be rather clear in the next 60 to 90 days as to whether this plan is going to work. And, again, that's why we need to have close oversight, so that we just don't look up 60 or 90 days from now and realize that -- that this plan is not working. We need to know, as we -- as we're -- we move through these benchmarks, that the Iraqis are doing what they have to do.
--------------------

That was about 90 days ago. Since then we've lost about 250 US soldiers, had the Iraqi parliament bombed for the first time ever, and had a single day where 183 people were killed in Baghdad alone.

Today's news: 49 killed in and around Baghdad. One mosque bombed, one checkpoint bombed, one restaurant near a police station. Iraqis protesting (in ENGLISH) the fence we're building in Baghdad (and that the Iraqi prime minister opposes.) In other words, much worse than the massacre we saw here in Virginia, but much better than Baghdad was earlier in the week.

I am sure Boehner's quote will be quite thoroughly forgotten, as with all the other quotes concerning "the next 60 days - the next 90 days - the next six months" and we will blunder into a new solution, which will be the best thing ever. Any problems will be chalked up as "the last throes" of the insurgents, and their actions will prove "they are really getting desperate now." And so the next plan will blunder along - at least until it is forgotten as well.

Shites killed the Al Queda leader yesterday. Reports say that the Shite faction in Iraq is beginning to understand that US forces are alies and when Al Queda is run out there can be peace. So in that regard they are beginning to band together to kill Al Queda forces.

Change takes time now doesn't it.

Oh, and find your own dam sources as I am sure you did not see any of this on your favorite sites. But the info is out there if you care to find it.......

I can't give specifics but I've been seeing a LOT more incidents like this than the news is letting on. There are countless villages that have recently taken up arms to drive out insurgents and assist US and Iraqi forces. It's horrible that so many civilians were lost to suicide bombers and such but it opened everyones eyes to who is making an attempt to help and who is intentionally hurting them.

History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid.

The easter bunny brought me candy from dreamland this year. And when you wish upon a star, the drinks are free at the bar. And hordes of three-legged machines from Mars are rampaging America.

The Drive by Media does not dare report any of it cause it hurts the party most invested in a US defeat. After all, Senate seats are more important than US security[:/]

Why did you write that strange construction "them (it)"? Were you having trouble deciding if "marbles" is plural?

Don't worry. Rush Limbaugh doesn't care if you can write. He only wants you to keep hammering away, right or wrong, no matter how much you embarass yourself. Keep at it, man!

I know you need help here so I will explain it to you.

Bunny marbles are plural. What are they (the marbles) made from? Shit, and you stepped in (it).

Does that help??[:/]

Hey man, that's great. Keep inventing clever new techniques for writing English. It really bolsters your case.

Let me make sure to remember this one... if a pronoun refers to a plural object that's made from a singular material, write the plural pronoun followed by the singular in parenthesis. Excellent. I'll look so snart!

>Change takes time now doesn't it.

It does indeed. It took a few years for Al Qaeda to rebuild, and they are getting stronger and stronger. There is 25% more terrorism today than there was last year, terrorists have a safe haven in Pakistan, and they're getting stronger all the time. In another few years, we will have lost the war on terror - unless we are smart enough to change course and steer towards a winning strategy.

> Shites killed the Al Queda leader yesterday.

This is at least the fifth "big terrorist" leader claimed dead. The second in command of Al Qaeda was killed - and terrorism increased. Al-Zarqawi (another "Al Qaeda leader in Iraq") was killed - and terrorism increased. If we actually take a lesson from history, terrorism will soon be increasing again.

But I am certain we won't. We'll trumpet this event as evidence that "we're winning" and continue down the same path to disaster. Then there will be another big increase in US/civilian deaths, and we'll have another surge. And there will be two days of less violence, and we'll claim we're winning again. Then the violence will get even worse, and we'll claim that it's because of the media.

And thousands more US soldiers will die to make us less safe.

You stretch and twist as usual. But I understand why. But to claify, you completley missed (or ignored) my point.

Your points are (is) easy to miss.

You are on a roll today. Maybe you will come up with something with content eventually. Right now IB is all that comes to mind from your responces......

I believe your point is incorrect, which is why I posted what I did. Things are getting worse; our own government's reports prove this.

War supporters can keep wearing those rosy Newsmax glasses and believing that everything is going great and we're on the right track, but the body bags (and reports from our government) tell a different story. And people are starting to care a lot more about those body bags than the sunshine being blown up their asses by a desperate president and a compliant White House press corps.
