DZJ 0 #26 April 9, 2007 So what do you make of the fact that when asked where the Britons were abducted, the Iranians replied with coordinates that were inside Iraqi waters? Any rational person would conclude the Iranians are either liars, or idiots.
dorbie 0 #27 April 9, 2007 Quote Any rational person would realize that. DZJ makes a good point and you should take note, just as you should have at the outset, but there are additional factors, like the abhorrent hostage taking and exploitation, and the testimony of free men in a free country. It's about more than words or posturing despite a complete lack of credibility. Ultimately it comes down to using ones judgement to assess and discern the likely objective truth, and it is clear you've let yourself down in this regard over this incident. By all means continue to make excuses for the despots running Iran. Perhaps they alone appreciate it.

Defence Secretary Des Browne said the review was aimed at making rules consistent across the armed forces. It follows a row after two Navy crew members held in Iran sold stories. (.)Y(.) JohnRich 4 #30 April 10, 2007 QuoteWhenever you have access to proof or facts about the troop location please fell free to share it with all of us. As of right now UK says they were on the Iraqi side, and Iran says they were in Iranian waters. Both sides have good reason to lie. What evidence would constitute "proof" to you, one way or the other?
