Obama bests Clinton

Recommended Posts

Well, he raised $25 million to her $26 million. However, he had ALOT more supporters giving to her fewer supporters maxing out.

Seems that if I add it up an election can be won by number of votes, not the $$ amount taken to the polls. ;)

Nice work Mr. Obama! B|

I fully plan on voting Republican in this next Pres. election, but if a Dem. wins I would much rather have it be Obama than Clinton. She is just as decietful and under-handed as Bill.

I got the impression Bill was merely a narcissistic weather-vane (trapped by circumstances when he lied). Hillary on the other hand gives me a different impression, she seems insincere but no more so than many other U.S. politicians, maybe it's just that she's less of a natural. She's had a few moments where I think she's earned some respect.

Her oratory skills are terrible, very strained and unnatural sounding to me, like she's straining to maintain a impassioned-yell. There's just no need for that intonation, but Bush talks like a baboon by comparison. She's just shrill, she'll annoy the heck out of the Republicans if she gets in, but at least Whitewater etc. is out of the way, what else can they throw at her?

I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the show this election season, it should be very entertaining watching it all pan out.

Romney has raised a load of cash, it'll be interesting to see him emerge as candidate and see McCain struggle to overcome his recent legacy with the party faithful. Republicans seem to hold their grudges very dear and Limbaugh hates the guy which is not an insignificant burden. Oh man, hearing Limbaugh struggle with a McCain candidacy or even Presidency would be priceless.

seems like Clinton, Obama, and Romney may have tapped their largest constituencies already. When it comes to fundraising in the white, non Mormon, non feminist populations, we'll see.

Certainly they'll need to show a bit more charisma than Clinton ever has.

I'm confused by the criticism. What's wrong here? Is this just generalized hatred of anyone who runs for office or is Obama actually himself a "lying thieving politician"?

Did we read the same article? I thought it said he *overpaid* for the piece of property he bought, not that he lied or stole his way into it.

I won't hate a politician just because a dropzone poster says "LYING THEIVING POLITICIAN". Not that I'm not eager to hate politicians, but give a fucking reason, ok?

Or can you?

Listening to Limbaugh is always priceless. He is so one-dimensional that after a while he is no longer any good even as entertainment.

Hillary - I got to listen to her at length and up close on a symposium on health care issues. She is the consumate politician; evasive, not worthy of trust, sneaky, etc. She's not very polished, but compared to Bush she is slicker than a slippery eel.

I read it. It makes the guy look like he bought a house then bought part of his neighbor's land. There is absolutely no indication that anyone did anything wrong. The article says that over and over

I asked you to explain any indiscretion you see. You've avoided doing so.

Are you just in a bad mood or do you actually have a complaint about this guy?

A fucking chimpanzee can speak better English than Bush. But Bush isn't running (thank God almighty), so that means two candidates who can string an intelligible sentence together - and how long has it been since we've had THAT ?

I won't be voting for Hillary in the primaries. I will vote for her in the general election if I have to. I don't think McCain's going to get the nod either, he's had his best days, will be older than Reagan was, is in questionable health and has offended the Aryans (oops...).

Anybody willing to consider Bill Richardson ? Governor of New Mexico, re-elected with a substantial portion of the Republican vote. Former Energy Sec'y, and a very down to earth negotiator with everyone from Saddam Hussein to the North Koreans. He's worth a listen, I think we could use the guy.
