I would, but I always scroll past your stuff so I didn't know you were asking.

Unfortunately this sounds like another case of "We're turning the corner in Iraq!" "The insurgency is in its last throes."

Update:

500 Iraqis killed in week of violence
7 GIs die -- military concedes security push will take tim

Monday, April 2, 2007

(04-02) 04:00 PDT Baghdad -- After a violent week that claimed the lives of some 500 Iraqis, and the weekend combat deaths of six U.S. soldiers, U.S. and Iraqi military officials acknowledged Sunday that it will take time for the effects of a much-vaunted security crackdown in Iraq to be felt.

. . .

A new Iraqi government tally indicated that violent deaths of Iraqi civilians nationwide had climbed to 1,861 in March, up from 1,645 in February. U.S. and Iraqi troops launched a wide-ranging security sweep in the capital Feb. 13.
