Andy9o8 2 #27 March 13, 2007 Quote Maybe you are the first right wing gay guy in America. Congratulations. Apparently you've never heard of Mark Foley. Here's a pic of him & Bush comparing sizes. Oh, and don't forget J. Edgar Hoover. A real pinko.

narcimund 0 #30 March 13, 2007 Quote Maybe you are the first right wing gay guy in America. Congratulations. First of all, I'm not in America. Make of that what you will. Second, I'm widely known on dropzone as a lefty. That's largely because the righties hate my personality more than the lefties do, so by elimination people decide they have me pegged. Third, I'm not sure why you (and so many others) think the fact that I sleep with men (actually, just one man) somehow determines what I think of taxation, foreign policy, nuclear power, gun control, abortion, childhood fluoridation, or state's rights. And finally, don't peg me as right just because I asked you why you pegged me as left. First Class Citizen Twice Over

Oh, did I mention the Righteous Protectorate also includes Adam Weishaupt, Adam Selene, Adam Ant, and Lassie? Point made. I missed it before.2 BITS....4 BITS....6 BITS....A DOLLAR!....ALL FOR THE GATORS....STAND UP AND HOLLER!!!!

Nothing more, nothing less. That people think what he says has even a sliver of credibility is laughable. He says what sells, comes up with some catchy phrases and hits the cash register. Ditto head, secular progressive, neo con, etc. - pay the man. edit: add Righteous Protectorate to the list too.

I never said the guy had any credibility. Hes in the same class as Coulter, Savage, Maher, Limbaugh, and Franken (although he is seeking office) there all just trying to voice their opinions and cash in. Nowhere did I say id vote for him or actually BELIEVE what he says. I simply said that what he has to say is interesting and that I like watching his show.2 BITS....4 BITS....6 BITS....A DOLLAR!....ALL FOR THE GATORS....STAND UP AND HOLLER!!!! Didn't mean to imply anything about you in particular, just people in general when I replied to your post. We're getting off topic here, but this goes to the heart of why guys like Rush are enormously successful and guys like Franken are flops. Rush is an entertainer, period. He knows and embraces this. He says things that are so ridiculous, there is no way he could ever believe it, but still people listen. They listen even if they disagree with him, because he is a good entertainer. He did a bit with a phony Bill Clinton leaving him a voice mail that was one of the funniest 5 minutes of radio ever. Franken, on the other hand actually believes most of what he says. That just makes him an annoying guy with a radio show - I'm assuming he's still on.

PeterB 0 #39 March 14, 2007 You're not the only one. To those of you who missed the subtle-as-asledge-hammer-to-the-head point Narci made in his initial point: This Bill dude made up a new phrase and puts everyone he doesn't like in it. He then uses a series of negative definitions of this phrase. Narcimund did the same (although Righteous Protectorate is a lot... catchier). Any flaming or points directed towards Narcimund or his argument can be directly applied to Rileys. Still wondering if you have a pink pistol though. Wouldn't say a racing-green one that feels like a freight train running over the disillusioned broken down spirits of political hacks be more fun? idrankwhat 0 #42 March 15, 2007 Quote I'm not near as conservative as Bill O'Reilly either. At least he isn't dangerous. I can't say I agree with you there. Who do you think has more influence, a Soros or a Scaife and their millions or a Bill O'Reilly and his prime time slot on the "we distort, you abide" channel? idrankwhat 0 #43 March 15, 2007 Quote [ Interesting enough..........I just saw on Fox that George Soros bought $62 MILLION in Halliburton stock. That's why he's rich. It's a smart move. This way he can use "Halliburton" money to attack Halliburton. Smart is the man who shoots his enemies with their own bullets
