sundevil777 102 #2 March 2, 2007 That is truly crap. It is hard to believe when oatmeal is advertised as having health benefits, and other foods do the same. There should be some wording in the ads that could be acceptable.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

One way the Cherry growers could side step this is to find ways to get the studies published in medical journals...I guess. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Not if they don't fund the studies and the journals publish them freely. We hear about how broccoli may be good for the colon, garlic helps with whatever (even though that was found to not be true re: the garlic). We all know that Vitamin C is good for you. We all know that it helps the body fight colds, etc. Yet, we don't regulate orange juice. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! The article comes off as way too slanted against the FDA. Something is strange here, I thought natural/herbal remedies were still exempt from this kind of regulatory interference has that changed? Why wouldn't a cherry be classified as a natural or herbal supplement instead of a drug? ... or are you unable to make medical claims for supplements? I thought I've seen those claims on bottles of vitamins all the time "*This statement not approved by the FDA" or words to that effect. It is assinine, but the solution is simple, tone down the medical claims for food products.
