Meth-heads are some crazy mofo's. Seems that the majority of those busted are 50 and older. A few years back the cops busted a 70yo guy in town cooking meth on his stove. He was cooking when they knocked on his door. Freaking crazy.

what I don't understand is why you hear all this talk about meth NOW, when the stuff has been used recreationally for like 35 years or something. what's caused the surge after all this time?

Cheap drugs is why and the fact that Mexican Drug Cartels have found it is easier to manufacture here in the US than to smuggle it up here.

Also the profit margin is very high.

Agreed. Is there any drug these days which doesn't fall into the "scumbag" drug category? Is there such a culture that there is a high-class drug?
