warpedskydiver 0 #1 February 26, 2007 The bodies of girls and young and women started turning up in 1993 just across the border in Juarez, mexico. Soon they noticed a pattern. Many of the victims had been raped, tortured, and mutilated, before they were finally strangled or suffocated. "There was this sense of dread, almost evil, hovering over the city." Diana Washington Valdez is a reporter at the El Paso Times. "I think about it sometimes when I wake up in the morning." As the bodies piled up and years passed, she came to know more about the murders than even Mexican police. At least the police who weren't involved. She says many are corrupt-- ignoring or protecting powerful men she calls prime suspects in some of the killings. "(They're) having women abducted for them for the purpose of sex orgies and also in some cases to participate in the killings of the victims." "They're doing it for sport," says Valdez. "What got me into this was the brutality in which they were being killed. I felt there were many victims and the authorities kept downplaying everything." Since 1993, more than 500 girls and young women have been murdered in Juarez. Washington Valdez says about a third of them were sex-murders. "But the important thing here for me-- they were not murders committed with the motive of some kind of rape or sexual assault. The objective for many of these murders, the systematic murders as we call them, is really to kill the women. The objective always is to kill the women." www.woai.com/content/news/beamer/story.aspx?content_id=ab6e3700-8f96-4d3c-a2ae-a4189a77d5b4 viddy
Zipp0 1 #2 February 26, 2007 A bit morbid today, eh? Maybe this is why Mexican police protected that rapist Dog nabbed. He was bringing them so ladies.... -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down.

IMHO this theory is flawed. Did she explain why those powerful men do not hide those bodies? Should be really easy task for those who already have power, money and police on their payroll, and there is a lot of possibilities to hide a body forever.* Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
warpedskydiver 0 #5 February 27, 2007 Because they paid their fees for women for that they rape torture and kill, kind of like having a busboy clear the table after a party. The bodies were merely trash to them.

The bodies were merely trash to them. My point of hiding the bodies was not about showing some respect to the dead. Dumping those bodies on the street is very dangerous thing, which result in increase of press and police activity. People start asking questions, and there can be always someone persistent enough to find the evidence. Neither rich powerful men nor the corrupted police on their payroll need such publicity. Therefore I do not understand why the bodies are just left on the street for everyone to see, and not for example dumped in some deserted mine or burned in a blast furnace at steel factory. Should be very easy thing to do for rich and powerful men who already have corrupted police on their side. That's why in my opinion theory is flawed. Personally I think it is just another psycho.* Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
AdamLanes 1 #7 February 27, 2007 I can personally attest to the fact that the police in Juarez City are corrupt. I was the victim of a "shake down" by The Juarez city police and Mexican Federales. They accosted me as I walked out of a convenience store. They stole my money, but I was fortunate enough to eventually get away.
