The Bush administration is being criticised for selecting advisors to the Iraqi Government based solely on the fact they were good Republican Party Members. 3. Democratic Politicians are campaigning for bans on "Assault Weapons & Large Bore Rifles". 4. More resources are badly needed in Afghanistan to bring peace there. Wouldn't the solution to all this be to pull all the Republican Advisors out of Iraq & replace them with Democrats, who'd then be able to force an Assault-Weapons Ban through the Iraqi Government thus bringing PEACE to both Iraq and the NRA? Then... We could move all our troops out of Iraq to reinforce the troops in Afghanistan... Taking the most direct land route in the interests of fuel economy and environmental protection, of course. Incidentally (& while we're doing stray thoughts), I got my Grandfathers old campaign medals out of the MoD. He served with The Durham Light Infantry from 1934 to 1940 (Arras, on the retreat to Dunkirk). Anyway. His Campaign / Service medals were for The NorthWest Frontier (Afghanistan), Palestine (Israel), and Iraq! Strange really... Some things never change, do they? Mike.
