A third of americans....

Recommended Posts

....Won't vote for Hilary Clinton. I think it's an exuse for Bill to have an extra third term. It would be 32 years since GB Snr to Bill To Dubya back to Senator Hill or should I say Bills extra third term before your country see's sence and votes for someone Funky, fresh and new..

If she does win, I'm moving to South Africa.

Such a henious mistake, stop it now while you still can.

A Brilliant Senator does her Homework (been to Iraq and Afghanistan) loves and has done so much for New York But President. I don't think so.

Maybe Anthony Edwards would be a better candidate,
this guy is good and is going pretty unoticed. Check on him.

Three fourths of Americans didn't vote for George W. Bush, but he's still President.

Well, he's only exaggerating a bit, depending on how it's measured. ;):P

69.4% of voting-eligible Americans didn't vote for Bush in 2004. I suppose if we included all of the ineligbles ... it would be up to three-fourths of Americans quite readily.

The guy from ER is running for President? Wow!:D Well, I guess we've had an actor as President before so it's not unprecedented.

Or maybe we would give more consideration to John Edwards

Bored tonight... Ran the numbers and

70.85% of Americans who were of voting age Did Not Vote For George W. in 2004
72.21% of Americans who were of voting age didn't vote for Kerry either...

Those stats are meaningless though. If you don't vote, your stance doesn't count...literally. In 2004, those that did vote, 51% did vote for the President. 48% did not.

I have not met most of the Napolean Complexes in SC.... I always wonder if they are as loud mouthed in person as they are online. I would bet not..just like a one I did meet... BUTR since most of them never actually show up at a DZ and skydive.. I think its nearly impossible to ever meet them in person.

It's misleading to non-Americans who believe the 51% figure to mean at least half of Americans support the president. In reality, only 3 out of 10 people liked him enough to cast a vote for G.W. Unfortunately, that was enough because 4 out 10 people did not cast a vote at all.[:/]

A few years ago, in a city election, one of the councilman ran unopposed and lost. I think that Kerry is like that.

There are a lot of people who did not vote for Bush, they merely voted against Kerry.

Kerry came across as undependable and what he said contradicted his lifestyle.

Any problem with a politician is easy enough to fix.
All the Dems need to do is put forth a valid candidate.

Edwards? I trust him less than a bad used car salesman. He has that "trust me, I'm a politician" smile.

Kerry? Done.

Some analysts believe that Perot acted as a spoiler in the election, primarily drawing votes away from Bush and allowing Clinton to win many states with less than a majority of votes.

Perot split the conservative vote or else Clinton would not have won.

Hillary will raise money and get the womens political machine to back her, but she'll have to move her support to Obama.

So you're making my point, thanks. If only 1/3 won't vote for Hillary, she'll win handily.

BTW No exaggeration. I was quite careful in my original statement. I wrote "Americans", not "Voting age Americans" or "Eligible Americans". Just like in the title of this thread! In fact, well over 75% of all US citizens did NOT vote for Bush.
