Carry methods

For those of us that carry concealed, I was wondering what methods of carry you prefer, whether you change carry for different situations, what you've heard or decided to stay away from, etc.

Also, I'm in the holster market, so suggestions there (pro or con)would be appreciated. one possibility

(I am so damn sick of online shopping and the silly info floating on "shooter" pages)




(A) this will go to hell in a hand bag and end up in the dunce corner in record time

Mitch Rosen inside waist band holster-I carry my duty gun (glock 21 so it aint small either!) off duty in it and when flying commercial on extraditions. conceals well, comfortable walking or sitting. Can't say the same for most everything else out there.

Galco strong side for my Sig 229 in .40 S&W. I like that cross draw though. Got the shoulder rig for my Browning HP. Just depends on my mood. Sometimes just the .38 airweight in a pocket holster, summertime, usually.

I'm a fan of the Milt Sparks Versa-Max 2 (drill down from www.miltsparks.com). Solid IWB and the capability to be 'tuckable' for easier concealment w/o a dedicated cover garment.

Just about anything by Lou Alessi is good, too.. his GWH looks pretty nice.

I use their 1911 and Springfield XD IWB holster, they work great. They are tuckable if need be, hold the weapon very secure, and I can easily conceal my full size 1911 with only shorts and a T-shirt if need be. I carry pretty much every day, never had a problem with them. It's a little late now, but between Thanksgiving and Christmas they usually have about a 25% off sale, too. It all depends on what model pistol and attire, also important is your reason for carry.

If combat is imminent concealed is not all that good.

The quickest draw in the world in the one that is already in your hand.
