offensive because white students drank malt liquor and at least one partygoer wore black face.

Unbelivable!:S How is that racist? imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! I mean it wasn't as if they were wearing sheets and burning crosses on the lawn:S

...and whats with the malt liquor comment? I was drinking Bushmills at the weekend I didn't realise a Malt wiskey is a Black persons drink.... Although now I think of it they do make 'Blackbush' as well. :o Shit, live and learn eh!

Actually Malt liquor is not malt whiskey.

Malt liquor is an undistilled drink. Colt45 is an example. It is often sold in 40 ounce bottles. Basically it's a beer where they have added corn syrup to the wort in order to bump up the alcohol without increasing the body or flavor of the beer. Resulting in a high-alcohol, yet bland, pale yellow, watery, beer. crap, really.

Yeew, sounds gross. Thanks for the info:)

I would also point out a few caveats:

Malt liquor was originally aimed at middle-class whites when it was first introduced in the 1950's. And while many malt liquors use adjuncts, some do not, and some regular lagers (i.e. Bud) use adjuncts as well. Some malt liquors use additional enzymes to make more of the malt fermentable rather than adding sugar/corn.

Many states use the term "malt liquor" to refer to any beer greater than X percent alcohol beer. Colorado sets that point at 3.2% ABW, so effectively many ordinary ales there would be called 'malt liquor.' Georgia simply does not allow any beer greater than 6% ABV (which is not the same as ABW.) To add to the confusion, high alcohol content beers are sometimes called barleywine or strong ale.

Some 'malt liquors' are quite good. Older Viscosity from Port Brewing comes to mind. It's around 12% ABV and is a very rich, complex beer.

Lately, "malt liquor" refers mostly to the inexpensive fortified beer sold in 40-ounce bottles here in the US. This bottle size is illegal in some places (like FL) presumably because people will drink less if they have to buy several bottles instead of one.

Are you sure you haven't violated the rules?
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
