SpeedRacer 1 #101 February 1, 2007 QuoteRwanda, Somila, Iraq, Kuwait, Bosina, the list goes on and on. For every horrible place we try to make better, there are 10 we aren't helping. um, why does helping necessarily involve military force?? I think it would be a piss-poor idea to use military force to "help" these countries. Remember Somalia?? SpeedRacer 1 #102 February 1, 2007 Quoteyou know that if we didn't go into Iraq everyone of the self-serving assholes in our government would be the first ones to get in front of TV when another plane flew into a tower or a car bomb went off in NYC and say "See I told you we needed to take a harder stance on terrorism." You know, this old bait&switch ploy has been debunked a long time ago. Give it up. sundevil777 102 #103 February 1, 2007 Hurumph, hurumph, well spoken Bruce!People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
idrankwhat 0 #104 February 1, 2007 Quote..... and I'm not going to go through the spell checker, because I've been awake for 36 hours and its too much work Great rant, it's always nice to get another perspective. My only advice would be to get some sleep though. Then you can revisit that part of your rant that tied the Iraq debacle with the war on terrorism. I understand though, I've got a two and a half year old and a 4 month old. It's easy to fall victim to disinformation when you're that sleep deprived. I don't think you're that far gone yet though, unless of course you've ever shot video of the wrong student
AFJumper03 0 #105 February 1, 2007 We DIDN'T go into Rwanda with military force and the entire world chastised us because there was a genocide of about 100,000 people and we didn't do anything about it. And then we went into Bosnia to try to stop a genocide and the entire world chastised us for being there. It goes on and on like this. And Somila was supposed to be a UN peace keeping mission. The UN ASKED us to go in there to protect the food shipments from being stolen by warlords, and our boys get shot at and killed. Military force is the only thing miserable terrorist dictator dipshits understand. You can't talk your way out of mugging in an alley, just the same why you can't nicely ask north korea to stop building nukes. Look at well thats worked. And if you don't think Saddam Hussian was a terrorist just because he was the head of government that I don't know what to tell you. He used chemical weapons on his own people suppressing a Kurd uprising and killed thousands. If thats not terrorism I don't know what is. You may hate Bush all you want, but he didn 't strafe protest marches on Penn Ave with AC-130s.

Fixed it for ya... What's worse, is that the UN was already there and those that were fortifying it refused to step in during the killings. QuoteAnd then we went into Bosnia to try to stop a genocide and the entire world chastised us for being there. What really chaps me about that is that even after we brought all that to light, the EU continued debating until we pursued a NATO solution. QuoteIt goes on and on like this. Yep. QuoteAnd Somila was supposed to be a UN peace keeping mission. The UN ASKED us to go in there to protect the food shipments from being stolen by warlords, and our boys get shot at and killed. Which is funny, because it was the UN's mission to do that. They swing both ways, ineffectual in diplomacy and in enforcement. Our role there quickly evolved to kill or capture some of the warlords, and that was when our Rangers and Delta got pinched. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
