dorbie 0 #1 January 16, 2007 ... when you elect fucking idiots to the legislature, the bench and the AG's office: http://freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070115/COL04/701150333 Particularly troubling is the way these bozos dismiss the applicability of the law to the AG's offense. Must be bloody easy when you're in charge calling the shots about who gets prosecuted for what.
billvon 3,132 #2 January 16, 2007 The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and the road to stupid laws like this is paved with legislators being "tough on crime" and "protecting the family." People get what they vote for.
sundevil777 102 #3 January 16, 2007 Perhaps a better way to go would be allowing the other spouse to divorce with the court giving them everything, no splitting of assets, no shared custody, etc.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Marital assets are a different story, but I suppose I could see a rule for compensating a spouse who's been cheated on by awarding them a higher percentage of the marital assets. champu 1 #7 January 16, 2007 QuoteThe provision decrees that a person is guilty of first-degree criminal sexual conduct whenever "sexual penetration occurs under circumstances involving the commission of any other felony." Circumstances involving the commission of any other felony, eh? To include... -Driving recklessly to your partner's house to have sex -Having sex with a CD of pirated music playing in the background -Having sex, knocking over a candle and burning down your home

Children are not something to be bartered with and should not be used as punishment for a parent's conduct with consenting adults. Custody is about the relationship of parent to child, not parent to parent.
