You can hear the guy's who fired it go "Holy Shit!" http://video.google.com.au/videoplay?docid=-689902620988043628 "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG

I especially like the guy going "Did ya see how high the turret went?" just as a massive piece of metal thuds back into the dirt several seconds after the explosion!Do you want to have an ideagasm? GQ_jumper 4 #7 January 16, 2007 Javelin's rock, IMO the best man-portable anti-tank weapon in the world, we had a team trying to hold a pass near Debeka during the invasion, they had two unarmored humvees and a handful of Jav's and managed to hold off and entire company of Iraqi tanks, from what I understand without even using the thermal capabilities they made 12 of 14 Jav shots, not too shabby, 10 guys on foot vs. a company of tanksHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. GQ_jumper 4 #10 February 3, 2007 I want one to mount on my truck for the morning commuteQuote Actually if you are dealing with heavy traffic I wouldn't reccomenda Javelin, it takes a bit to reload after every shot and you have to have a lot of different tubes if there's a lot of traffic. Go with an RPG, fast reloads and you can carry more ammoHistory does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid. --Dwight D. Although we eventually opted for Javelin, the Israeli system was apparantly much better. Wonder why we never bought that system then! I can't remember the name myself but I saw an article that showed the Israel Army at the airport with posts surrounding the runway armed with these missiles for anti-terrorism.
