warpedskydiver 0 #28 January 12, 2007 Antigun politicians, who have already proposed the idea of creating a large tax to deter the "wrong kind of people from having ammunition". It seems that there is a belief people of lesser means are criminals or more likely to become a criminal. This comes from those same politicians who claim that the goverment is the answer to poverty. Amazing that they claim to be the the guardians of poor, and yet out of the same mouth they say things that would lead a person to come to the conclusion, that those same politicians believe in class serparation/elitism. JohnRich 4 #30 January 12, 2007 QuoteI had no idea that factory ammo could cost that much. Reloading would probably save a ton of money. I imagine the cost of brass is still high though... Um, that's why reloading is cheaper - because you re-use the brass. All you pay for is a new primer, a pinch of powder, and a new bullet.

"They" are the anti-gun organizations and politicians. All the lawsuits they file on behalf of gunshot victims, trying to hold the gun manufacturer responsible for the actions of a criminal, for example. They know they're going to lose those lawsuits, but they keep filing an endless stream of them anyway because they want to drive the gun manufacturers out of business with legal defense expenses. In order to stay in business, the price of his products has to go way up to cover the legal costs. This is just another form of gun control that the gun-o-pobes foist upon the public. The more expensive guns cost, the fewer people can afford to own them, and "they" consider that a good thing. Just like those tungsten shotgun shells you're trying to find... I think Steve1 was commenting on the high cost of the Tungsten ammo that Willard bought. Tungsten is pretty expensive stuff. Have the leftists won any of the lawsuits? Hope not. The Saturdy Night Special ban was racist because they wanted to keep low income Blacks from having guns. The Feds owe reparations to all Americans for what they did. I'll take an MP5K. craddock 0 #34 January 12, 2007 And for a damm good reason. Do you have any idea of the legislation that is trying to be pushed through the Illinois house this spring session? If it passes it will force several manufacturers to leave the state and will require many types of firearms to be removed from the state or destroyed within 90 days. And that is just part of it That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

But some ammo is dirt cheap. I wouldn't even consider reloading for my SKS since factory ammo is cheap and plenty accurate for plinking. My favorite varmint rifle is chambered in .260 Remington. Ammo is reasonably priced, but to get that little extra accurracy I load my own. Besides, that 90 grain Nosler BT @ 3600 fps lets those woodchucks know whose boss! JohnRich 4 #37 January 13, 2007 QuoteHave the leftists won any of the lawsuits? Hope not. They win a few at the lower court level, but at some level in the appeals process, they have lost every one. The idea of blaming the original manufacturer of a product, for the actions of a criminal who misuses that product, is so whacko that no judge wants to put his name to the idea. bch7773 0 #40 January 15, 2007 QuoteI'm sure it's out there but have never personally seen it in a civilian round, the only round I have ever seen it in was anti-tank rounds. I guess a few people on here have found it based on their posts, so can we find out what it's for? because ducks and birds like that accidently pick it up while feeding from the bottom or getting stones for gizzards. Then the lead poisons them. MB 3528, RB 1182
