Mainly because we have no proper way to transmit OR store classed items here. The whole situation is pretty frightening actually. I can't believe someone with sense AND power hasn't blown a gasket over the amount of info that they damn well know the bad guy is getting here. Drives me NUTS! Edit- Of course I do often chuckle over the thought of a spy around here reading through all my DZ.com posts. We're on to you. We know your DZ.COM posts are just cleverly encrypted messages.... Lucky... 0 #28 January 4, 2007 The obvious thing here is that they are confiscating laptops not in fear of terrorism, but just to generally snoop. I don't think most terrorists carry a master plan with them and even 911 was bumbling and low tech. If it was that genius there would have been hundreds of terrorists around the nation. Every airport would have been filled with these scumbags boarding acft and would have included no less than 50 acft. Truth is, it was les sophisticated than a bunch a gang-bangers knocking off a Circle k, with .25 autos. The gov is trying to make it genius to be able to enact their so-called counter terrorism. Box cutters, please, they didn't even have an insider, just buffoons with tickets and box cutters. If there was any real coordination they would have had a flight simulator over there training terrorists. Arabic terrorists are such malitov cocktail idiots that for the gov to make them brilliant, diabolical planners is a hoax on us. Point is, this whole terrorism scare is to be able to justify the finishing off of the 4th.

Is the US really that stupid that the intel had no clue as to what weas gonna happen? Please. I don;t know that they had the whole plan or not, but they knew something was up. BTW, that's not a partisan statement.
