Just heard it announced that we're going to make it a requiremenmt that someone is 18 to purchase fags (come October).

Good thing (I think so) or Bad?

Personally I think it should be banned but that will never happen, its certainly a good thing but will make it odd for those who have been smoking legally at 16 or 17 then to find themselves (legally) unable too. Will make my job interesting too. This low level shit is what I will have to deal with

All it is Tony is the politicians trying to look as if they are actually doing something for their overinflated salaries.

Well you know they banned smoking in public places up here in scotland and you guys will get the ban in the summer. Can't say that will cut smoking down either Just means that people will stand outside or buisness will have to provide outside shelters like some or just close.

The age req. for tobacco purchasers has been 18 in the US for awhile.But, as of Jan.1 the TX excise tax on cigarettes went up $1 per pack.So now the average pack of cigs cost about $4.50ish here.
