Army sergeant refuses third Iraq tour

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I'm in agreement that hes contractually obligated.Whether he wants to go back or not is moot.He signed the contract and needs to live up to it.Suck it up cupcake!>:(

My best friend has served like 5 tours since Operation Iraqi Freedom has kicked off and shes only 24 years old.She was deployed to the sand box damn near straight out of her MOS training in 2002/2003.She doesnt have a problem with it nor does she try to renig on her contract when she doesnt really feel like going.I'm proud of her and worry for her every time she goes but I understand that its her decision and obligation. If you want to talk to her she goes by "outlawhottie" here on DZ.com.:)

How?

Stop being so soft!

Do you think the allies would have won WW2 if that war were being run that way this one is?

People are bitching because we have lost a couple thousand soldiers and that is just ridiculous! Tons more were lost on any given morning in previous wars.

Stop putting women in combat.

Annihilate the Sunni triangle with bombs, then rebuild. We should have sent bulldozers into Baghdad instead of tanks. (The Sunni Triangle refers to a densely-populated region of Iraq to the northwest of Baghdad that is inhabited mostly by Sunni Muslim Arabs. The roughly triangular area's corners are usually said to lie near Baghdad, Ramadi and Tikrit.)

There are a lot of US bashing by brits and British bashing by yanks - lets stand together unified as one. I for one have a lot of respect for the abilities of the British military and all the British civilians I have met are great people – both countries deserve one another’s respect – hell, Canada too!

Even Canada!:o:D Thing is its not just the Sunni's the Shia are at war too as well as Iraqis who neither give a shit one way or another about religion but just want to commit crime and make money. Its not as simple as the Sunnis verses the 'coalition'. Look what happened to Falluja but resistence there is as strong if not stronger than ever. And although I get your point its just short of three thousand Americans alone that have died so far and that doesn't include the contractors.

Can't nuke um'. Russia and China would get jelious and want to drop their own bombs. Like kids with fire works. Problem where would Russia and China drop theirs? On the USA I think. Maybe N. Korea

What we need to do in Iraq is to stop hugging them, they aren't whales are even snailes, they are carless thugs who believe there god gives them the right to shit on others who are different.

What we as a country need to do is to drill Alaska, California, the Gulf of Mexico and screw OPEC whatever the cost may be. We need invent a new fuel source (atomic cars :)
Remember when Bush landed on that aircraft carrier under the banner "mission accomplished" Well we should have kept the hammer on, but we didn't we were soft on them and now we are paying for it. I am sick and tired of seeing americans killed by a road side bomb, because they were on patrol, Patrol! WTF we don't need to be doing that! we should be still dropping bombs in Iran, kicking ass and taking names. If not, then bring them home!

Well,
1. K,B & R is a Halliburton subsidiary:P
2. Are you claiming Halliburton and Bechtel were not awarded ANY no-bid contracts in Iraq?

Please, by all means, you go fix it ok?

Is that the ONLY alternative to a NO BID CONTRACT?

John merely from an engineering standpoint, there are few companies in this world of sufficient size and experience to handle jobs of this magnitude.

Do a search and you will see the list of the qualified companies is not very long.
