Skyrad 0 #1 December 18, 2006 So British youngsters are becoming disgustingly fat. Obease little chubbers. What should be done to get these little chubby buggers fit so they don't bankrupt the NHS? think compulsory fat boot camp for the little chubbers is a good way to go and parents should be made to attend nutrition classes if they have chubber children. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18122006/325/chubby-children-london-plan-lean-christmas.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/hottopics/obesity/children.shtmlWhen an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Focus on educating (and shaming) the parents into providing better diets than chips, pizza, crisps and cola everyday. Also more compulsory PE in schools, and rejection of the claims/ liability culture that means little Johnny can't play touch rugby with his mates in case he skins his little toe and the parents sueDo you want to have an ideagasm? If the uncompetitive little buggers won't run lets make them dance. Not only that but it will help reduce the binge drinking culture in the UK as you can't lead if you can't think a little. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I'm not sure socialized medicine is looking like such a good idea if those of us who choose to stay healthy have to subsidize the fatties & the smokers. One idea is you could do what private health insurance/life insurance companies do: Charge more for smokers (but do it through taxes). I guess you could also charge more for the obese as well. So over a certain BMI and its off to fat camp and nutrition classes. Possibly - problem is the kids aren't the ones who buy the food they get at home. Sure you could knock a few pounds off them in a month or two over summer and teaching them about nutrition and excercise would be good - but once they get back home they'll be on the same old diet of sugar, fat, caffeine and additives. The measures need to focus on the parents, possibly even with the prospects of punitive measures (fines, community service) for those with the fattest kids who consistently show no improvement.Do you want to have an ideagasm?
