I think we can choose on our own if we want to fry kittens, and what kind of fat to fry them in. GOvernment doesn't need to tell me how to live my life. And I don't care what kind of shoes kittens wear.

Since mainly the very poor (you can find kittens anywhere) and the extremely rich (kittens as a delicacy) you can see this is hidden agenda of the middle class to pull in the extremes.
