Darius11 12 #1 November 20, 2006 http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/presents/shows/combat.hospital/ I was on a ferry on my way back from NY and this show was on. I think everyone should watch it. It is gruesome but a reality for everyone who is over there serving this country, or simply leaving in a war zone. It was disturbing and I had tears in my eyes the whole show but you have to watch just to understand the scarifies our troops make daily. It also reminded me of why I hate war and why I believe war should always be the last option when all other options have failed.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain
Skyrad 0 #2 November 20, 2006 Looks like any day on the trauma teams in Jo'burg. Most likely more blast injuries but otherwise nothing all that different. Someone in the film said about the 'extraordinary efforts' of the staff. Well, theres nothing extraordinary about the efforts, just as the Soldiers on the streets the Medical teams are just doing their jobs. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Skyrad 0 #4 November 20, 2006 Haven't seen the program but it looks interesting enough. Not sure what the interest is for non medical people though. Its the same with all the hosptial dramas. Weird. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Shotgun 1 #5 November 20, 2006 QuoteNot sure what the interest is for non medical people though. It's educational. It offers insight into something that's going on in the world that I wouldn't otherwise know much about. I also like to watch "Untold Stories of the ER" and even "Dr. 90210" (did I just admit that out loud???). But I'm working on a degree in registered nursing, so I'm not a non-medical person.
