sundevil777 102 #1 November 16, 2006 I think the show demonstrates how Islamofacists are not so extremist, they are mainstream in the Arab world. The show was aired at 7, 9, and midnight tonight eatern time on CNN headline news. It is good to know your enemy. I assert that they have indeed declared war on us. I don't have much use for the term terrorism. We simply are at war with Islamofacists. It makes no difference to claim they aren't proper Muslims because they don't follow Islam properly. They claim to do it on behalf of their faith, so they are Islamofacists. Time to choose sides. Are there some things from the show that are false or misleading?People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Gravitymaster 0 #3 November 16, 2006 Thanks for the reminder. I forgot it was on at 7 and 9. Will catch it at 12 and let you know. I did hear Glen Beck discussing it and it sounds like a very powerful piece worth seeing. -

idrankwhat 0 #9 November 16, 2006 Beck's a jerk. Why CNN hired him, I don't kn.....oh wait. That's right. This sort of shit sells. Beck on blaming victims, especially vocal ones "I find this guy [Michael Berg, father of slain journalist Nick Berg] despicable. Everything in me says that. The want to be a better person today than I was yesterday says he's a dad, he's grieving, but I don't buy that. I'm sorry, I don't buy it. I think he is grieving, but I think he's a scumbag as well. I don't like this guy at all." [5/14/04] "But the second thought I had when I saw these people [Hurricane Katrina survivors], and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims." [9/9/05] On killing filmmaker Michael Moore "I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out -- is this wrong?" [5/17/05] On anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan as a prostitute "Who's a bigger prostitute? [Hollywood madam] Heidi Fleiss or [Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver] Terrell Owens? Who's the person out there -- who's the bigger prostitute: Heidi Fleiss or [Democratic National Committee chairman] Howard Dean? No, not even Howard Dean. [Sen.] John Kerry [D-MA]. Who's the bigger prostitute? Who'll do anything for power or money? I mean, at least Heidi Fleiss -- this is saying something -- at least Heidi Fleiss will admit to being a prostitute. You know what I mean? At least she'll say, 'Hey, I'm doing it for cash.' ... Cindy Sheehan. That's a pretty big prostitute there, you know what I mean?" [1/10/06] On supporting torture "[I]f I'm an interrogator, and they say, [imitates Arabic accent] 'I read in your papers that you cannot torture me,' I'll say, 'Yeah, you know, you saw another thing in the papers, you saw pictures of people being tortured. And I just want you to look around, little, uh, Habib, here, I want you to look around the room. Notice one thing is missing, and that's called a camera.' " [6/23/04] The Blind I work at Radio City in midtown Manhattan, and up by the doors, you know, like where the -- you know -- the office kitchen is, in Braille, on the wall, it says "kitchen." You'd have to -- a blind person would have to be feeling all of the walls to find "kitchen." Just to piss them off, I'm going to put in Braille on the coffee pot -- I'm going to put, "Pot is hot." Zipp0 1 #14 November 16, 2006 Glenn Beck is a moron. I have heard his call screener own him on air several times. Sometimes he's funny, but I just don't think he's the person we should listen to right now. Skyrad 0 #16 November 16, 2006 Seen clips of it and what I saw was very biased, dramatised and taken either out of context or without explaination of the context. If all I knew about America was what I watched in Borat then I'd think people that lived in America were racist lieing cheating homophobic scumbags. Anyone can take short clips of people in these sort of situationas and present them as panfactual. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't realise that. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. idrankwhat 0 #20 November 16, 2006 QuoteHave you seen "Exposed"? Nope. And I have no plans to. He may have something interesting or insighful in there somewhere but if his past journalistic portfolio is any indication, it will be difficult to discern fact from crap. NCclimber 0 #21 November 16, 2006 I read the transcript. It's pretty compelling. It does a fine job of showing Iran's president talking out of both sides of his mouth. QuoteBECK (voice-over): On September 19 Iranian President Ahmadinejad addressed the United Nations. MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD, PRESIDENT OF IRAN (through translator): We are all members of the international community, and we are all entitled to insist on the creation of a climate of compassion, love and justice. BECK: One month later, back in Iran, Ahmadinejad made another speech. This time without the lights, the cameras and the worldwide media attention. AHMADINEJAD (through translator): What is a Security Council anyway? The whole world knows that America and England are the enemies of the Iranian nation. DANIEL KURTZER, FORMER U.S. AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL: There`s no question he`s been very, very clever and smart debater. And then he can go back and dissect what he says to us or to the United Nations and understand that it`s a smoke screen. BECK: A man with two faces and two very different messages. But most of us in the United States have only been exposed to the carefully crafted messages he wants us to hear. AHMADINEJAD (through translator): Our message is the message of peace and brotherhood with all nations, with all people. We love the American people as we love our own. BECK: Just one month before that on Iranian news, he wasn`t talking about love and respect. AHMADINEJAD (through translator): If you want to have good relations with the Iranian people in the future, you should acknowledge the right and the might of the Iranian people. If you do not accept this, the Iranian people will force you to bow and surrender. SHOEBAT: And when the camera turns, and you see the hundreds of thousands of people cheering "Death to America, death to Israel," it is this part that the west doesn`t see. BECK: Back in the U.S., President Ahmadinejad was asked about Israel. And he answered very carefully. AHMADINEJAD (through translator): So what I`m saying is quite fair. We want peace to be established there. We care for the Jews who live under pressure there, as well. BECK: But in his own language, the president seemed to have a much different message. AHMADINEJAD (through translator): I have said to the leaders of some western countries, stop supporting these corrupt people. Behold the rage of the Muslim people is accumulating. The rage of the Muslim people may soon reach the point of explosion. Other segments looked at the indoctrination of hate being spoonfed to children. QuoteBECK: Brigitte Gabriel, she grew up in Lebanon, was a victim early on of radical Islam. She`s now a U.S. citizen and author of a new, bestselling book, "Because They Hate." Brigitte, we were just talking here during that package about the school books that are not just happening in the Middle East, but what is being taught now in radicalized American Muslim schools. BRIGITTE GABRIEL, AUTHOR: It is shocking what`s happening in schools all across the world, not only in America. The government of Saudi Arabia is printing books and establishing schools all around the world, over 25,000 schools established and funded by the Saudi government. And they are supplying the books to these schools. And some of these books that are taught in the Middle East, like we just watched, to teach children to hate and become suicide bombers, are being taught also in the United States of America. And I`m going to quote you some of the sample of the books. This is a book from eighth-grade and ninth-grade books. This is called (speaking Arabic) for eighth grade, published 2001. This is page 43. "Jews and Christians cursed by Allah and turned into apes and pigs. Quoting (speaking Arabic) the Verse 60, the lesson explains that Jews and Christians have sinned by accepting polytheism and, therefore, incurred Allah`s wrath. To punish them, Allah had turned them into apes and pigs." It`s unbelievable hatred education that is being taught to elementary- school children, secondary-school children. How do we expect to teach a child against such hatred against like people like you and me and expect him to grow up an 18-year-old and love us or respect us? The last segment addresses the numerous examples of moderate Muslims criticizing the extremist factions. My take on it is Islamofascism is much more prevalent than I previously thought and it's generally looked down on by a large portion of Muslims worldwide. JohnRich 4 #22 November 16, 2006 Crazy stuff, that Muslim anti-Jewish propoganda. Examples: 1) A movie showing a Jewish doctor cutting out the eyes of a little Muslim girl, so that they can be transplanted to Jews. 2) Pepsi cola, alleged to be a supporter of Israel. "Pepsi" stands for "Pay Every Penny - Support Israel". Wow.
