Blues, Dave It is my belief that nuclear power plants are built better than Jane Fonda. I was reading about the underground nuclear test sites. The rock liquifies and then solidifies once again into a type of glass (I do not know how thick). The holes are a mile square and 50 ft deep. They are already radioactive. They are huge caverns. They are glass lined. Seems like a large storage facility that will never have any other use. Encase the spent fuel in concrete or plastic and put them in the cavern.
