falxori 0 #1 November 13, 2006 remember this thread?: DZ.com Thread following this: Mystery of Israel's secret uranium bomb a "valid" and "unbiased" source like the British "Independent" reports so it must be true, right? but then, after they got the publicity they wanted and Israel (once again) was accused and sentenced, this... Israel did not use depleted uranium during conflict with Hizbollah, UN agency finds sadly, it wasn't the first time and I'll bet it wasn't the last.... remember that next time... billvon 3,132 #2 November 13, 2006 >Israel (once again) was accused and sentenced . . . Huh? Sentenced to what? For what? Depleted uranium has nothing to do with nuclear weapons. In fact, they're sorta the opposite.
falxori 0 #3 November 13, 2006 you know that, and I know that but to the common public when the title says "secret new uranium-based weapon" they don't know exactly what it means. the lasting impression is "hmmm Israel was using radioactive stuff to contaminate the lebanese soil" in today's world it doesn't matter what you do, it matters only how it looks in the media. its not the first time lies like this have been spread. by the time you prove them wrong (and sometimes you can't) the damage is already done. edit to add: the article is pretty clear about the message it's trying to deliver: QuoteThe first is that the weapon was some novel small experimental nuclear fission device or other experimental weapon "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
