Thanks to everyone for remembering, we often times feel we are under appreciated or forgotten about, but it usually isn't long before someone comes along and reminds us that that isn't case and something as simple as a thank you means the world to a service member. I actually think the best thing I've ever gotten was a stack of letters from some third graders when I was in Iraq, those kids were the best. Of all the letters I read my favorite one was from a little boy wo wrote "Dear soldier thank you for fighting the war for me, you must be doing a good job because no bombs have hit my house yet."

You gotta love kids.

As GQ has stated, the best part iswhen little kids, including your own send you letters while away. The week I received letters from my daughter's class, 1st grade it was awesome.
