Or ten times the reserves of the USA.

Some time soon this will become a real problem.

I read an article yesterday that said Vegas is having to downsize all the Mega Resort plans for now for lack of const. materials. Said 18 mths ago China bought 50% of the worlds scrap metal and ore. Look out for them

Funny how we bragged we took down the soviets by way of causing them to outspend on military. Well, we have teh Chinese with a strong military and surplusses; who's fiscal ideologies are going to fall now.

Perhaps Clinton's changes to the military were pretty smart, it got the debt increases halted.

China was accepted into the WTO in November 2001.

Since then, the Dollar Index has dropped about 30%, the price of crude has increased 200% and copper has increased 400%.

This mass overpopulation of the world better stop soon or we are going to be in real trouble; can you say, 'carrying capacity?' 3 billion people can live damn well, no pollution issues, ect.... 5 billion people can;t live well and will eventually use up all the world's resources.

I know, we can't live unless we have 6 DNA carbons of ourselves.... fuck that, I'm not that vein.

Here is one result of building the US economy on a foundation of debt. If China unloads its $$, or if oil goes Euro, we (the US) will have a huge problem.

China has been dumping some of its ecxessive US$ reserve lately. Which tends not to help the US$. Although the EU is certainly hurting more so than the US is.

Oh, and there is a big meeting scheduled in a couple of weeks between the Chinese and the US big wigs (SoT, etc...). Talking about unpegging the CN¥. RMB is selling like doughnuts right now...
