chigbee 0 #1 November 4, 2006 In a recent defense appropriations bill, a paragraph was quietly slipped in at the last hour ending the need for the inspetor general at the department of defense. For those of you who don't know this is the office that investigates corruption during the war. Things like bribes, overbilling the gov't, etc. Currently there are 4 people serving time and 28 more facing prosecution for what they have done in Iraq. So of course we need to get rid of this guy because we can't have anyone interfering with Dick Halliburton's stock value. This has got to be the most corrupt government in U.S. history. Let's just hope Tuesday brings some change.
matthewcline 0 #2 November 4, 2006 Where did you find that? It has far bigger implications than Iraq. The IG is also what investigates the Military as a whole. (paraphrazed of course) Was this just a specific location the IG wont be working? I kind of think it is important. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! PhreeZone 20 #3 November 4, 2006 I'm seeing not a DOD IG position being elimiated, but instead the IG for the reconstruction of Iraq: http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2006/11/03/america/NA_GEN_US_Iraq_Reconstruction.php This is the auditing agency that is overseeing the auditing of the Billions of money being used in Iraq, it was only designed to be a temp agency created only while money was being used in Iraq.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

When did we stop using money in Iraq?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
