It's all their fault. I cry myself to sleep just about every night fretting about how the corrupt tyranny of Bush and Co., is destroying our Constitution, our rights, our environment and our way of life, while enabling evil Corporexploitation all around us. Oh, woe. Very good. You'll see the light one day grasshopperI hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. wmw999 2,589 #57 November 3, 2006 QuoteWhy the last minute blindsideAt least according to Wikipedia (which we all know is a source of great knowledge and accuracy, but which, kind of like intelligence reverting to the mean, tends to revert to the least offensive version of facts):QuoteJones made his outing allegations against Haggard in response to Haggard's political support for a proposed amendment on the November 7, 2006, Colorado ballot that would ban same-sex marriage in that state. Jones told ABC News, "I had to expose the hypocrisy. He is in the position of influence of millions of followers, and he's preaching against gay marriage. But behind everybody's back [he's] doing what he's preached against."So yes, it's timed carefully. But, well, sounds like the guy might have a personal reason, rather than being in the secret employ of the evil Democrats. CanuckInUSA 0 #74 November 4, 2006 I've met this man in person when I lived in Colorado Springs (when I visiting his church "New Life" as I was trying to figure out if I was a Christian ...which it turns out that I'm not). Anyway I have to say that Pastor Ted is a very interesting well spoken man to listen to. When he's not talking about his religious rhetoric, his message is a very good one full of morals that most of us should be following. But with all that said, I have to say that the man is a hyprocrite for preaching one message while living the other. I know four entities are going to be hot topics in Colorado Springs right about now. 1) Obviously Pastor Ted will be a hot topic. Did he do it? Why did he do it? 2) The accuser, the self professed male prostitute. Who is this man? Can people believe him? 3) The people of Colorado Springs no doubt will be looking for blood in the Democratic Party since they hate this political entity and anyone who associates themselves with the party. 4) The people of Colorado Springs are obsessed with the Devil. I know they kept telling me that the Devil was responsible for myself not being a Christian and that the Devil was responsible for everything bad in the world. So in the eyes of the people of Colorado Springs, no doubt it's not Pastor Ted's fault, but instead it was the Devil who made him do it. It's too bad people won't get to hear Pastor Ted speak much any more. Then again Hitler and Joesef Goebbels were very good public speakers as well. Hypocrites ... every last one of them. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
