Kerry's recent comments

If he botched the joke, perhaps he should tell us what he should have said. Hopefully it will be more funny.

He's obviously a natural clown, he just needs to go to comedian school to work on his punch lines, timing, and delivery.

Poor guy, so misinterpreted..:D:D:D

:D:D

Right, we just laugh when GWB says something like:

"You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one."—Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 26, 2006

or

"I am here to make an announcement that this Thursday, ticket counters and airplanes will fly out of Ronald Reagan Airport." (Oct 2, 2001).

But with Kerry we assume sinister motives.

Yep. Imagine what would happen if the media/democrats treated flubbed lines the same way the GOP does. When Bush said:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Heck, he'd be in Guantanamo by now!

Or:

"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

The media would demand an immediate investigation into every woman he'd talked to in the past six years, since he admitted to advocating sexual assault!

"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."

The media would immediately begin pushing impeachment proceedings for him advocating dictatorial rule.

Fortunately, most people are not that desperate.

In other words, he was supposed to be referring to the fact that Bush didn't do so well at Yale

My memory from the '04 election campaign is that Bush had better grades than Kerry.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

How is that insulting to our troops who are risking their lives in Iraq. Big difference!!

What I find outrageous is Kerry's history of diparaging our military. Remember last year when he claimed US troops were terrorizing Iraqi citizens?

Finally saw the video of the speech on a break at work this morning. Paid close attention. Yep, he said exactly what they said he said. What an asshole. He's got no excuse.

And I'm (still) a Democrat. We're not all assholes, just embarassed as all hell at what a big one he is.

Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

Well, Vinny, you stupid, short, poppy-eyed JACKASS, Bill O'Reilly disagrees with you on this Kerry gaffe. I was channel surfing last night and saw the man saying something about this incident, so I decided to listen in. Apparently Mr. O'Reilly was defending Kerry last night saying it was an honest mistake on his part.

Thought some here would find that interesting. I only rarely watch O'Reilly anymore, though I've heard his new book is quite good.

NOooo
No "sinister" motives. He just said what most (or a least many of those in power) parrot and believe.

Can't help it he was stupid enough to say out loud what he really thinks

if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

So, when Bush screws up his lines, is he really saying what he really thinks?

When was this thread hijacked to be about Bush??

With tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens killed, and a bunch of US troops on trial for murder, that seems a reasonable conclusion. We are there without an invitation, something you seem to conveniently overlook.

These are REAL insults

And senior administration officials have been working on the idea of a New World Order for quite some time. Should I believe that that is really what is going on with the War in Iraq? Is that what they really think?

It was a botched line, stupid indeed. It is a bit of a mountain out of a mole hill. I think many people are offended by it, because if logic and intelligence had won over fear, there would be no war in iraq.

Speaking of which, some nitwit just tried filing a class-action lawsuit over that.

it's reality today, no need to imagine

'people' will stick their feet in their mouths. Whichever opposing party sees it will exploit it. I hold posters on dizzie.com to higher standards than politicians and the posters can't help acting that way and they get the chance to edit before posting. Why should we expect politicians to be any better or more fluent?

Kerry messed up while trying to make a joke at the expense of someone else. It's kind of right that his petty sense of humor backfired. Maybe his subconscious trick him into misspeaking because he realizes he was being a child and pandering to those that like bitter humor.

Speaking of Mick Jagger, did anyone hear about a governor's chief-of-staff using a state plane to fly a lobbyist across the state, so the lobbyist could catch a Stones concert.

I didn't see anything about it in the MSM. Could this have anything to do with the governor's party affiliation???
