>But most combat veterans who served with John Kerry in Vietnam see
>him in a very different light.

The thread starts out with people who are DISGUSTED! OUTRAGED! AGHAST! that Kerry would smear servicemen.

Then, a few pages down, we have the same people smearing a serviceman.

SC at its finest.

Bill, that is a total load of crap.

Kerry has insulted all of the military, and done it more than once.

The swift boater's campaign ads in '04 insulted just one member of the military.

Huge difference.

Utilitarianism at its finest.[:/]

>Oh, and you generalize once again.

Sorry, I'll add a caveat:

Some loyal Bush apologists believe that the Swift Boaters were simply speaking their own conscience, and that the millions they received from the GOP had NOTHING to do with what they said. How's dat?

No one believes the Swift Boaters were standing on principle - they were standing on a very big pile of GOP money.

Your contempt is showing, that is OK, good to let everyone know what you really think of others, just in case they haven't been able to pick it up already.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

>Huge difference.

Of course. Like I said, it was a democrat that was being smeared. Which makes it completely different.

What makes it different is that an individual was attacked for his specific actions. Kerry attacked the military as a whole.

Huge difference.

Really? Was the pay increase, life insurance, reserve and National guards reforms-pay etc done because of Kerry? I did not know that.

I know there are people that fall through the cracks, but not having your records updated and copied accordingly has been a life time issue in the military.

Yeah.. like that 87 billion dollar defense spending bill he voted against... that had 300 million in it for body armor?

HMMWV? Stryker LAV? The HMMVW was never designed to be a line of battle vehicle, and even with upgrades, does not handle the weight of up-armor kits well. The Stryker has better armor, but the same limitations on off-road mobility as the HMMWV.
