Here's the way I see this going: We would reduce the system to where votes are pieces of paper, and each candidate or issue has their own locked hat. Each vote is named, "President of the United States" or "Proposition x". Each vote is also bar coded with a serial number to prevent double voting. For example, for the "President of the United States" each candidate will have its own locked box in which that vote is placed. Two boxes for each initiative would be made, i.e. "Proposition X - Yes" and "Proposition X - No." The voter is to merely to place each vote in the approproate box. Once the votes are cast, a few well-palced voters will to the press to say that they put their vote in the wrong box! Or that they saw workers disposing of votes in a fireplace afterwards.
