DUDE... that is a CBS report.. and therby not authorized as a credible news source by the Ultra Right Wing White House Propaganda Department.

I take it you missed the Fox interview with ABC News Director, Mark Halperin, talking about the liberal tilt to major media... :P

I try to miss Fox News...... since Fair and Balaced has MORE THAN just a slight slant to the FAR FAR Right.

I guess it SEEMS fair and balanced when you are so far to that same leaning:S

Actually, it only SEEMS far far right to those on the FAR FAR left... :D

Other than in the thread title, you mean?

The thread title doesn't make reference to DHS, it makes reference to US Homeland security.

if I make a thread about US Justice, it isn't the same as a thread about the US Justice Department, though it could include them.

See there you go again... characterizing ANYTHING to the left( ie... moderate) as the far far left...

I guess when you are sitting that far to the RIGHT.. that EVERYTHING else APPEARS to be far left:S

Find me the USA Homeland Security website, then. This had nothing to do with DHS, and everything to do (again) with internal security at the lab.

So you don't think the loss of classified documents from a nuclear weapons lab affects the security of the US homeland? Strange, but OK.

He did NOT mention DHS. Your error.

And that leak could very conceivably affect US Homeland security.

You are right, that has nothing to do directly with DHS.

I don't think there is a website for the concept of homeland security.

OK then to use one of your FAVORITE tactics....

" Do you have a "CITE" for that:ph34r:"

From the National Nuclear Security Agency website:

Quote

Function Statement

The Administrator has authority over, and is responsible for, all programs and activities of the Administration (except for the functions of the Deputy Administrator for Naval Reactors under Executive Order 12344), including the following:

1. Strategic management.
2. Policy development and guidance.
3. Budget formulation, guidance, and execution, and other financial matters.
4. Resource requirements determination and allocation.
5. Program management and direction.
6. Safeguards and security.
7. Emergency management.
8. Integrated safety management.
9. Environment, safety, and health operations.
10. Administration of contracts, including the management and operations of the nuclear weapons production facilities and the national security laboratories.

NNSA is under DOE, not DHS.

Why do you have this hang up about DHS? No-one mentioned DHS until you brought it up.

However, if you want to resurrect the FEMA/DHS debacle over Katrina, I suppose this is a good place to do it.

Thanks for pointing me to a website with Bush's speeches on homeland security. I doubt however he is eitehr intelligent enough, nor verbally capable enough to explain the concept of homeland security without having it first written out for him....

(ie it doesn't define the concept of homeland security, it just tells us what Bush supposedly has done to help it. Funny enough it doens't mention how his decision to invade Iraq has significantly and negativaly impacted Homeland security in the US.)

I invite you to, once again, READ THE THREAD TITLE. Homeland security is NOT involved with the theft from Los Alamos.

The theft from Los Alamos most certainly does affect homeland security though. :S

Yes, it certainly does. Security for the Nat'l Labs is the responsibility of the NNSA, however. That's why I was saying the thread TITLE (there it is again, Kallend) was misleading.
