kenneth21441 0 #1 October 24, 2006 If anyone has to deal with the INS's 1800 number forget it. They dont know what the hell they are doing. case in point: I called the number to see what else I needed for my wifes perm. visa as it was approved... So I had to report to detorit office. So I asked them if I needed an appointment like it stated on the web site for Det. the person behind the 800 number said no appointment needed. Just take what was on the approval letter. Long story short..... We need an appointment. A waste of 2 hours driving one way and $20 in gas...... Just to have to make that appointment and go back on Wednesday. Dont trust what thoase folks have to say as they are just full of RED TAPE all over it.... And figure these are the same folks who let in those Idiots.....Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith

Gawain 0 #3 October 24, 2006 Go to the DHS CIS site, and make an InfoPass appointment, no need to deal with a numb-brain on the phone and you'll be seen at the district office with no further fanfare. If you still have issues, look up the office of the CIS Ombudsman. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! kenneth21441 0 #4 October 24, 2006 When I got home I did the info pass thing and have it set up for Wednesday. But the case in point is like our government the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and in one hand those are the sh*t for brains that are suppose to know the job to begin with. I guess the system is too kind to those who cant help ones self. Meaning that if I could have my way I would revamp it to make it service to the people and not a pay check to those who just fill a position...... Look at how we are running the system now.... Do you think it takes that many people to run a certain office. When I have managed less people and got more done then these folks do in a week. Its all about keeping there own jobs and making sure that they keep them for retirement ///// Now I am ust blowing off more steam....Kenneth Potter FAA Senior Parachute Rigger Tactical Delivery Instructor (Jeddah, KSA) FFL Gunsmith
FallRate 0 #5 October 24, 2006 This sounds like par for the course, concerning goverment offices. This past year I had to get a new driver's license in Michigan...after three visits (40 miles each trip) to the Secretary of State office and a three week wait I was all set. pleasebequiet 0 #7 November 7, 2006 getting a michigan drivers license isn't that hard... what did you do wrong?Liberalism today translates into a whimpering isolationism in foreign policy,a mulish obstructionism in domestic policy, and a pusillanimous pussyfooting on the critical issue of law and order.
