School policy is made by elected school boards representing the wishes of the people. School administrators and teachers may be consulted but generally don't make the decisions.

In our system, the superintentant sets policy, which includes how much latitude individual administrators have at their own schools. The school board either accepts it or negotiates an alternative.
No doubt, the board members have a say, but from what I've seen, the administrators have just as much, if not more.

But the monkey bars was sitting over there in the corner and some girl fell out of it and landed on her forehead on the concrete below, getting a nice big gash.

It was a religious denomination school anyway, and they don't always have their priorities straight...

It's about brainwashing them to believe that there are no winners or losers in life's game.
It discourages those who naturally excel, and does not encourage those who would try hard if they were pushed a little bit.
Things like this are the tip of the iceburg.

At least, the broken arm was the excuse the faculty uses.QuoteThey recently quit letting kids play football at recess at my little boy's school. This is a sport that he excels at. He understands that football was banned because a kid's arm was broken. He's not discouraged from excelling, and he understands that he's still a better football player than the loser kid who got his arm broke....lol (tongue in cheek).
Improvement in any sport requires time on the field, not just watching it on tv. Restricting a child's ability to improve at anything puts them behind the curve when it comes down to real life. In your son's case, that could be college or pro ball.
The point that I'm making in my original post is that these wussified socialists that run the school systems think that lazy, indifferent people should receive the same reward as those who strive hard to improve their lives.

And who appoints the superintendent and can fire him/her?

What's your point? That school boards dictate all policy decisions for their scholl system and all of the individual schools?
Getting back to the thread topic, did the school board make the decision to ban tag?

My point is obvious. Place the blame for stupid decisions where it belongs.

Now. How about answering the other two questions.

I don't see two other questions.
How about answering "who appoints the superintendent?"

Those ^^^ two questions. I put them in bold for you.
The school board typically hires the superintendant to run the school system!!!
And getting back to another unanswered question:
QuoteJefferson was an adulterer? How so?

But one of those is just your commentary on the first with a "?" at the end. It is not a separate question.
Jefferson was certainly a rapist and most probably an adulterer, given that southern slave owners, whether married or not, customarily screwed their female slaves. We KNOW he screwed at least one of his slaves, and that he kept slaves during his marriage.
