NCclimber 0 #26 October 16, 2006 QuoteQuoteOnly thing Cindy Shehan deserves is a slap to the face for being a disgraceful mother to a honorable son. There you go. Answer her question with violence. She clearly loved her son and she wants an answer to why he and so many other have to die for what is clearly an illegal action. Something that seems to missing from her whole campaign is that she was opposed to his enlistment and his re-enlistment... that it was a bone of contention before he ever joined. He joined and rejoined voluntarily, for his own reasons, as an adult. He knew what he was signing up for. But somehow - It's all Bush's fault. Sometimes you just gotta move on. Michelle Malkin did not call him a "media whore." Rush Limbaugh did not call him a liar and a "long-haired, maggot-infested, dope-smoking FM type." O'Reilly did not do show after show about him, calling him a traitor, a willing tool of the left and an income tax evader. In other words, the most vocal extremists out there did not rant and rave and keep his name in the headlines. So the story went away; heck, there _was_ no story. shropshire 0 #28 October 16, 2006 <> No, you move on when something has been sorted out - otherwise you'd just be burying your head in the sand [sic] and ignoring the colossal problem that still exists. Moving on is NOT an option for thousands of innocent people. If we move on and ignore the situation we do them all a massive disservice and dishonour the lives that they gave (or was wrongly taken away from them.) (.)Y(.) So it wasn't the constant coverage by the MSM that caused her popularity to grow? Good to know. Claiming she got so much coverage because of the attacks from the right is an interesting theory. I guess you could say the Swift boat Vets got noticed because of the constant attacks from the left, too.

Hell, my mother was mad when I joined. Even my father was not real happy and he was a 21 year lifer. What is clearly Bush's fault is that the U.S. is in Iraq when it did not have to be. If Iraq attacked the U.S., then sure, Cindy would be clearly out of line. But, Iraq did not attack the U.S. so therefore her question is valid as to why do so many have to die for this President ( a man who coward his way out of going to Vietnam)."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." It was her violently vocal critics that gave the media something to report on. Heck, if they HADN'T reported on O'Reilly's ranting, they would have been accused of bias!
