The dems are not backing off their initial, misleading assertions that repub leadership "knew and did nothing". They continue to act as if the emails were damning, continue to not acknowledge the separation of the emails from IMs.

Yea, those damn "dems" at the Washington Times;)

Ya right, now that you've informed us of what's what, I've seen the light...

Hey, I'll tell you one thing, it seems that Al Franken is now fatter than Rush. :D

And THAT "my friends", is a prime example of right wing talk radio. The only thing that distracts from the ad hominem are the ads.

>As for everyone's failure, do you think ousting one of the worst
>admins in history is a bad thing?

That's not the bad thing. The bad thing is that we are spending all our time defending/condemning everyone and their brother; what we SHOULD be doing is figuring out a solution to this:

----------------------------
BAGHDAD (AFP) - At least 17 US soldiers have been killed around Iraq since Saturday, including eight in a single day in Baghdad, the US military announced, saying the toll had brought "a tragic day".

The toll represents a dramatic spike for US casualties in Iraq which generally average no more than a couple of wounded a day, especially for the Baghdad-based forces.

"I don't have any comparative figures," said Lieutenant Colonel Barry Johnson, who declined to say whether the toll was an increase. "We have tragic days and this was a tragic day."

Perhaps you can vote Dem this time so you're on the winning team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think there are quite a few people who do that sort of thing.... which is nuts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey, don't fight a good thing

I am a firm believer in having an informed electorate. I do not like people voting for straight party lines or voting for a party based on what they heard in church.. or voting for a party based on who the percieved winner of the election is going to be.

You end up with the idiocy we have in Washington now.[:/]

Perhaps if people would actually listen to the issues then vote for the best candidate who most closely aligns with their own position we would have a functional government.

Then there is always the fact that only about half of our people even BOTHER to vote. That right there should tell you the system does not work,.

Like this clip, where darling of the Left(ists) Keith Olberman insults Roger Aisles several times in the course of a couple minutes.

More fun and games from the party of acceptance and tolerance, eh?

Lets see if I get this right...

When the right calls names and denigrates people for years... its telling the truth...and exposeing the evil amoung us

When the left calls names and acts poorly doing the same thing its just evil and shows a lack of acceptance and tolerance......

You are living wiht the results of your own behavior and getting a little backlash.. and are now whining about it... SUCK IT UP CUPCAKE.

This is along the lines with my reasoning of why we should abandon political parties. As a bonus we might even end up with our representatives voting on the issues.

It's all coming clear now:

Foley is obviously a Republican "Queen sacrifice" (pun intended), designed to distract our attention from Iraq and simultaneously use distorted logic to sling mud at Democrats.

Again, when there are two possible explanations for an event, and one involves a complex plot with lots of nefarious players, and the other involves simple stupidity, lust, ignorance, greed etc - the smart money is on stupidity.

The video's not there. How about this one instead? It was damn near enough to have me put Olberman in as a write in candidate in '08.
That's my ticket. Olberman for Pres, Stewart for VP and Colbert for Sec of State!

Rush, Hannity, Coulter, O'Reilly, Savage, Boortz, Beck, _ucker Carlson, to name a few. If you want specifics we're going to have to narrow it down to only one or two days

Personally.. for balance.. I would LOVE for him to go look for examples of bad behavior from the listed right wing hit squad.

But since he agrees with them in lockstep I doubt that could ever happen.

I'll give you Coulter and Hannity. They jump the bandwagon to a fault a lot of the time.

Boortz and O'Reilly are not "right wing" guys, I understand why you might perceive this, but they definitely do not toe the neo-con line, I suggest you listen to him more closely.

Rush, despite his faults, and inbetween his bouts of "humor" or "ribbing", does provide a genuine insight from a non-beltway conservative perspective.

I don't know Tucker Carlson all that well, he's not a "heavyweight" in my book.

Savage, I don't know him that well either, I've heard his show a few times. He seems broad-brushed in nature, which does make his presentation raw.
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

You're right, but I just don't like the personal attack stuff. But more specifically I can't stand the interview style of O'Reilly (Boortz isn't as bad). A good interviewer let's the interviewee do most of the talking and often lets them get in the last word.

Rush, despite his faults, and in between his bouts of "humor" or "ribbing", does provide a genuine insight from a non-beltway conservative perspective.

It's that arrogant humor and ribbing, belittling behavior that detracts from his dialog. I see his style as an attempt to bolster his persona to his listeners so that, like a good salesman, he can spout his opinion to an already nodding crowd who mindlessly and uncritically accepts it as fact....hence "ditto". But that aside, what I don't understand is the constant cry of being a Conservative and then backing Bush on every move.

Smart is not the same as wise. Bad form to label yourself as smart by calling your adversary dumb.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
