Bush: Worst President Ever. Yes or No?

Recommended Posts

No

Due to human nature we all make mistakes.

The deal that happened with these rag heads is well before Bush.

Think back to Carter and the Iran deal. What did we do about it?

enough said there.

and add this all up to before Sept 11th what did our nation due.

Nothing.

What about when the Taliban took over in 95? What did we do?

Nothing.

Where Bush went wrong is he added in Iraq and forgot about the other part where this all happened. Its sort of hard to rebuild a nations military that was reduced in forces to levels equal to before the Korean deal> under the Clinton Administration.

Then when Sept 11th happened the USA had a real eye opener.

Now blame a man who decided to take them out with wanted dead or alive: pref Dead.

Take out who exactly? The rush right in, guns ablazing aproach into Iraq has accomplished absolutely nothing in regards to reducing the number of terrorist or capturing those responsible for 9-11.

ads....the Republicans..... war on Communism, War on drugs, war on Terrorism..... When is the war on the Republicans going to begin?

It damn sure won't come from the Democrats.

They will want to pull out before they ever get started.

Maybe that's why there are fewer babies being born to Democrats.

It did after that wonder-joy Hoover, there were Dems until Eisenhower.

The polls are indicating a turn, I think these recent gas price drops aren't fooling anyone. Yes, I realize that gas is traded on a world market, but the timing is impecable. Either way, the public has awoken - you'll see in Nov.

Hmmm, then explain how all the wars started in the 20th century until the Gulf War in 91 were done while a Dem was in office.

Dems have other agendas besides procreating massive families.... like education and recreation. Didn't you get the memo; sex is for fun, not work.

Why don't you compare the amount of troops killed as well?

We are nowhere near 1969 according to your comparison:S

Bush is working on it, though.

Don;t be so hard on Bush, he didn't have the luxury of inheriting this war; he had the arduosu task fo starting it, not to mention the more arduous task of creating false pretense under which to start it.

Rushed in and what, waszted a country when it was a rogue maniac who did it? We have never, to my knowledge, fought an enemy that wasn;t a country. And if we have somewhere in history, they weren't so stealth. But that doesn't mean we should start at one end and work our way to the other, one country at a time in Hitler fashion.

Until now, that is.

We're now fighting an ideology.

We're fighting terrorism, not a war.

Interesting times we live in.

Wars are almost always over ideology and / or territory. We've been fighting an ideological / religious war with the ME for centuries.

Terrorism IS their form or warfare. They would prefer to fight war like us, I'm sure, but they have rocks and bombs, so they choose the latter. Of course if they had weapons like ours, we wouldn;t be in a conflict with them, we only pick on small countries that have non-sophisticated weapons.

I'm still wondering why any of the extreme anti-bushies haven't tried this tact -

"He's the 2nd worst president in history, he's so bad he can't even be #1 in the crappy president category"

c'mon guys, let's be bit more creative here -

Because that would make it a joke and the only thing "funny" about this is why he's still in office.

Perhaps, but the low brow nature of these types of thread topics tend to lend themselves to joking about it anyway. I'm always amazed at the all or nothing nature of the majority of posters and how wound up they get on oversimplified discussions.

It must be the conditioning, but what should you expect when our own leadership reduces discussions to:
With us or against us,
Flip Flop,
They hate freedom,
The 'Merican people are safer,
and lots of other snippits in the past week that are just short of "nuh uhhh".

But I see your point. Let us hope that no matter how stupid our leadership and media get that we here in SC can remain the beacon of stimulating intellectual discourse that is the envy of the world......nay......the bonfire!!!!!

I live in the Uk and I can assure you that Bush is the most hated president the US has given us in living memory.
Personnaly I dont think Bush is pure evil as many do But I do think he is incredibly stupid. Having ignored Richard Clarkes warning over AL Queda before Sept 11th he decided to make the main stay of his was against terror the invasion of Iraq. Even though Iraq had no connection to AQ and did not pose any threat to the US. This has led to the US losing all its post 9/11 sympathy and giving the biggest recruiting advert for AQ they could have imagined. Invading IRaq after 9/11 is the equivalent of FDR decalring war on China after Pearl Harbour.
