no, no, no - you don't understand. just because you are on the top half of the distribution, it just means you are less frustrated than the average of the ENTIRE society of frustrated, frustratuerian frustrators - i.e., all the american people. Cant judge american society based on this event. Someone complained, and the school acted.

Doesnt mean that school was right or wrong, it is one example of how one american school board has handled it. Does that reflect all of america? Nope it doesnt.

Agreed. The story didn't mention much about the fact that the teacher had visited the place a few times prior to the trip to ensure that it was appropriate, and that it was approved, and even encouraged by the school administrators.

The school board was supposed to meet to deicde what action to take last night, but I haven't heard the outcome yet.

According to her lawyer (was on the radio last night), she was told by someone on the school board that "she was going to get fired, they just had to have a meeting to find a good reason".

I think the parents and the school board could use a good ass-kicking.

I think she should get fired just because it was France. We don't need our impressionable youth getting all pansified by the men and all besotted with the ladies.
Next thing you know, they'll be entering our workforce expecting 2-hour wine lunches and 6 weeks of vacation.
