wildman2231 0 #1 September 11, 2006 MAN! I'm a new skydiver. And I'm really pissed at my timing! I love skydiving! I like beautiful, slow, soft, professional landings. IF you are someone likely to hook turn into the ground....PLEASE! Take up my old hobby of speed inverted rappelling!| NO DITTER there dude. Play the stretch of your line to touch and kiss a rock headfirst, from 200'ft. I've done it many times. IF YOU WANT to swoop, they (THE PRO'S) use A POND! I should also warn you of line "wave". The resistance of your accelleration causes a "wave" ahead of your braking hand that will catch up and "SNAP" your hand off of the rope.WAY COOL WITH NO BELAY! Been there done that and survived.(with rope burn). Man,I guess my age has tempered me(I hope)I still am enjoying every minute. NOT that I would'nt want to learn to swoop. But there are alot of dead idiot rappellers that were my friends also. I really appreciate the cool feedback on this site,But i also hate that all the flamers are here to do just that,FLAME. Speculation on incidents....is just that, Thanks mods, you guys do pretty good. Anyhow, the main of my post is QUIT TURNING INTO THE GROUND! You are the FRIGGEN IDIOTS HURTING MY NEWFOUND LOVE OF SKYDIVING! Can I get an amen? Blue skies Wanna go fast close to the ground?>gokarts kick ass! edited to say,yep,20 jumps sooooo...I expect to carry my balls with me for many more...and die peacefully in my sleep, hopefully on a plane full of friends that will push my body out and deploy for me. IS there a waiver for that?I'm fine...crazy people don't know they're crazy...No,Really!
base283 0 #2 September 11, 2006 It´s a self correcting manuver. Jumpers nowadays only do it (hook turn into the ground) once. Then they stop. take care, space

Johnny5 0 #4 September 11, 2006 Dude, i appreciate the fervour, but punctuation has a place, even in online communication. It looks like you wrote that message while on Crystal Meth. I however do agree on your message.I'd rather be on a losing 4-way team than a winning football team.

PLFXpert 0 #9 September 11, 2006 It would seem to me your first issue is all the "dead, idiot rappellers" (Sorry, I HAD to add the comma.) I would start with that first--otherwise you might just get yourself in an overwhelming, worried frenzy and who wants that?Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. freethefly 6 #10 September 11, 2006 What? You are saying that you will never learn to hook? So many had said that only to one day catch the bug. Maybe you won't, maybe you will. If you do catch it, be careful and learn the skills to perform safely."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." dorbie 0 #11 September 12, 2006 Get back to us in a couple of years and we'll see what you think then. It wouldn't do your newfound love much good if a whole bunch of safe paying veteran customers quit because they couldn't enjoy their sport.
