JAGS united in criticizing Bush plan

The most senior lawyers in the US Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps showed remarkable unanimity in criticising the latest Bush plan for overcoming the SCOTUS rejection of his plans for trying terrorism supects.

"I'm not aware of any situation in the world where there is a system of jurisprudence that is recognized by civilized people where an individual can be tried and convicted without seeing the evidence against him," Brig. Gen. James Walker, U.S. Marine Corps staff judge advocate told a Congressional hearing.

I don't think Sen. Arlen Specter (chairman of the committee) much likes Bush's plan either, from what I heard of the hearings.
