It's pretty lopsided in favor of the Shias, so it doesn't really make it much of a civil war.

Many Sunnis have bailed out of Iraq, some are taking a wait and see approach; the rest are fighting because they have no where else to go.

That's not exclusively true. The insurgent factions backed by Iran and Syria are likely (and properly) not considered part of the "Sunni vs. Shia" civil conflict.

Isn't Iran mostly Shia and don't they have a vested interest in "takeing care" of their Iraqi Shia bro's?
