It's going to cause revisions of textbooks at the least, and of course our definitions may change yet again if there the planets that have been found orbiting nearby (and some not so nearby!) stars are found not to meet this criteria for some reason. It's noteworthy information about the universe around us, that's all. It's got nothing to do with the usual SC hot topics. I thought I'd throw it in here just to show that there are controversies that extend beyond our own planet; indeed, there are controversies that extend beyond our own reality. mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." jumper03 0 #6 August 26, 2006 heh - by the new definition, Earth isn't even a planet now... It hasn't cleared it's orbit yet. And neither has Neptune for that matter - Pluto is still hanging around!!!! Scars remind us that the past is real
