aligunnoe 0 #1 August 22, 2006 "It's All About the Ebb and Flow" Can't put if off any longer. It's time and I feel more vulnerable than ever because I know how much this will take out of me. Despite the anticipation, anxiety reminds me it's no longer my choice to procrastinate any longer. Pulsating with a deep, rhythmic beat that demands to climb 'til climax, this particular creative urge insists on bleeding raw my insecurities onto a blank, white canvas. Watching the blood crust over as it dries, I'm surprised at my strength; thought extracting the marrow from my bones for the surface world to sample would wrestle me into exhaustion. Instead, that vague concept of Spirituality becomes momentarily tangible and I seem to understand why I bear the burden of fostering this prolific demon living within. It's about purging whatever Truth he allows me to glimpse inside myself, however beautiful or painful, as I'm learning it's only the most extreme of emotions that are able to align the mind, body, and spirit in such a way that the fervor born from this union escalates to a final culmination of spiritual orgasm. It's about releasing this extraction, my observation of the world, and feeling the sentiment is understood, even if only by one person....and however fleeting the moment, it's all about appreciating this connection to the world, or more specifically, to other people in this world. Invigorated by such a discovery and desperate to hold onto the moment, I free-fall into the afterglow and smile, for how often can one experience something so powerful that each time you are able to revisit that place, it's as if you are reborn again...emerging from the safety of your life's own symbolic womb to breathe in something strange, something new. I finally get it, and grasping onto those few seconds of enlightenment, I realize how strong, secure... and deliciously, *@^#$%* ALIVE I feel--mind dancing, body swaying, spirit thumping in unison with the rest of those who GET IT-- Back and forth, to and fro-- From within My Truth glows It's all about the ebb and flow It's all about the ebb and flow.
