nerdgirl 0 #2 August 21, 2006 The program with my favorite title is "Time Reversal" http://www.darpa.mil/dso/thrust/math/time.htm When it was announced, the descriptor "mathematical" was not included -- sounded wonderfully audacious! Marg Act as if everything you do matters, while laughing at yourself for thinking anything you do matters. Tibetan Buddhist saying

StreetScooby 5 #5 August 21, 2006 Check out their completed programs summary: http://www.darpa.mil/dso/trans/transit.htm Specifically, Soldier Self Care http://www.darpa.mil/dso/trans/ssc.htm Very interesting new pain development: Novel Pain Therapeutics—A monoclonal antibody that inhibits Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) was found to treat pain at the site of injury while maintaining alertness and protective pain sensations. Researchers confirmed that subcutaneous administration of the compound was as effective as morphine, and more effective than conventional therapies in experimental models. A single dose of the compound reduced nociceptive response for more than three weeks, without adverse effects on cognition, motor coordination, or respiratory drive.
