The suspect was arrested in Bangkok, Thailand Wednesday morning. The suspect has confessed to certain elements of the crime that are unknown to the general public. The suspect is expected to arrive back in the United States, possibly within the next two days, accompanied by an investigator from the Boulder DA's office. The Boulder County DA's office has not confirmed the identity of the suspect, but is expected to have a press conference later today. Wow...As a former Boulder resident, I never thought they'd solve the case.
Michele 1 #2 August 16, 2006 It's going to be very interesting how this pans out - so many people are convinced that the Ramseys were involved at least somehow, and so many details have already been known... Fascinating. God bless that child, and her family - so much heart break in it. Michele 1 #3 August 16, 2006 The suspect is a guy named John Carr or Karr, with a connection to Conyers, GA and a former Boulder CO resident. He was arrested on unrelated sex crime charges in Thailand, is (or was) a second grade school teacher, and has some sort of conviction record of sex crimes. If the above is true, the slime should hang, slowly and with crabs chewing on his private parts. This is going to get very, very interesting... Ciels- Michele Edited to correct information regarding the conviction record. I wrote in error (or on unconfirmed report), and have changed my post to reflect that. ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Lindy was eventually found inocent but not after serving painful time in jail and 6 years before being cleared. http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/not_guilty/chamberlain3/1.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,656540,00.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Lucky... 0 #6 August 17, 2006 I had the mom as the killer. The suspect has confessed, don't we all feel foolish now for assuming either the mom or the dad did it?
Gawain 0 #7 August 17, 2006 QuoteI had the mom as the killer. The suspect has confessed, don't we all feel foolish now for assuming either the mom or the dad did it? I was thinking the same thing. I was on the fence about the parents, but it seemed an impossible situation for them. As time went on though, I felt the real blame lay with the Boulder, CO police. It seemed they had a real inability to maintain an open investigative mind.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! steveorino 7 #8 August 17, 2006 I never followed it too closely, but I "guessed" the brother did it in a rage over pageant queen sis, and the parents covered it up protecting their only surviving child. steveOrino

Karr is a very creepy looking/acting dude on the news. Scary part he looks normal Wonder how many victims will be found since he was a world traveler. R.I.P. Not a problem if you assume the father or mother helped to cover up. However, he was pretty young to have inflicted all the damage he caused, and would be unlikely to have added a sexual assault. JohnnyD 0 #22 August 18, 2006 *On the radio in Denver this morning* Former prosecutor from Boulder was saying there are serious inconsistencies with the guys story. He says he picked her up from school, drugged her, had sex with her, and accidentally killed her. School was not in session, so he wouldn't have picked her up there. The autopsy reports no drugs in her system. The guys ex wife maintains he was with her in Alabama at the time. Sounds like this could be a very disturbed man, but possibly not the killer.
