micro 0 #1 August 4, 2006 If you're a liberal or a lefty, you needn't apply, I can probably guess how you feel... As for me, the jury is still out... I don't fall so neatly into the right-wing box (see the recent thread on the illegality of feeding the homeless, or threads on the death penalty for examples), but my leanings are more to the right. So, I'm reserving my judgement here on how exactly I feel about this firebrand of a woman for now. But i'm reading her stuff presently. It does make for some entertaining reading, I'll give you that. pajarito 0 #2 August 4, 2006 I don't like her that much. I think she's arrogant, loud, condescending, and not always right but I like her skirts. I always think she's about to do a "basic instinct" on national TV.

rehmwa 2 #8 August 4, 2006 1 - As an entertainer, the show she puts on (sincere or not) makes a good living. 2 - She's quite shrill in her opinions, kinda like Michael Savage or Al Franken. I like political entertainment to be a bit more composed. She's not someone I can listen to for very long when she get's into a whoopi goldberg kind of mood ("everybody that disagrees with my politics is evil" mode) 3 - Cute enough. Though around here (DZ.com), it's a sin to find anyone thin attractive. We're supposed to set on fire anyone healthy or thin. ... billvon 3,120 #9 August 4, 2006 Hmm. She is indeed a hate-monger - but that's her _job._ It's how she makes money; she wouldn't be on TV now selling her books if she just politely disagreed with people. But hate her? I don't even know her. For all I know, she's a nice person beneath her public (and well-paid) exterior. Or she might really believe all that stuff she says, but is just misguided. That's not something you can learn by watching her on TV.

That's not something you can learn by watching her on TV. A liberal like Al Frankenstein is considered a "gadfly", but a conservative like Ann Coulter is a "hate-monger". Always fair and balanced! And no, she's way too smart to actually subscribe to the stuff she says and writes. She's a button-pusher, and a very bright and articulate one. She's marketing her product toward her target audience the same way other entertainers do, and is getting paid very well for it. All that and brains too. mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."

Misternatural 0 #22 August 5, 2006 Ms coulter, Mr franken, Limbeau (sp?),Stern,Martha stewart, These people have discovered that their opinions are marketable to their base and sometimes to the general public. Since we live in a capitalistic society they cannot be held accountable for trying to make a buck on their dissertations no matter how disturbing, inflammatory, or controversial. this is my radical leftist opinion...it does not applyBeware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires.
