matthewcline 0 #77 August 15, 2006 Since I do not know how the Reserve Air Force Drill Points system worked, is it possible he actually earned the points claimed and was good as far as when his duty was up? He may not have served to our liking but he did serve. Remember others served and then dishonored thier Comrads, and some served not at all, it wasn't a priority.An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!! She once even called me a chickenhawk, even though I have1 tour done, and getting ready for a second one, trasnferring from the Navy (CB), to the Army, in an MP unit. We dodged the draft in 1966 by joining the air force The reserves and national guard at that time (at least in NY state) were not a option. The waiting list was so backed up you had to get on the list way before you turned 18. College deferment before the lottery system replaced the real draft. Most of the folks who got the 2S deferment were kids who's mommy and daddy could afford to pay their college tuition. Us Poor folks just did our patriotic duty, served our country like we wanted to. I don't agree with everything amazon says but I respect her right to say what she thinks because she's the real deal. I will always look up to the lady Until even after I die. IMO Argueing about this political crap is a waste of time and don't mean shit. Visit the trivia and history forum and read about the good stuff, Farting in the airplane, and toe sucking R.I.P. I truly wanted to know the points question since it was brought up in the media and even a reporter who was shamed for using a false document admitted "it was possible" he had finished as he was required and wasn't avoiding any thing. But it could be apples and oranges. Amazon, I am sure your the real deal. I respect your views and service. But I do reserve the right to disagree politly.
