kelpdiver 2 #6 July 29, 2006 and why aren't you voting otherwise? SC shoukld ban American non voters - you don't get to have an opinion if you won't take part in the process. -- A McCain-Feinstein ticket has assassination attempt written all over - I put the over/under in September. downwardspiral 0 #7 July 30, 2006 Hmmmm do you see me bitching much about politics or our administrations? One of the great things about living in this "free" country is it IS my choice to do so or not. Right? Of course you can feel free to disregard my opinion. I tell you what....when they stop using the electoral college to decide the loser, THEN I'll vote. OR when Hilary runs, whichever comes first www.FourWheelerHB.com
tbrown 26 #8 July 30, 2006 Running together on the same ticket ? Never happen. Can't see either of them bowing to the other and accepting the No. 2 spot. Far too apart ideologically. Running against each other, now you're talking. Would make a clear choice for the country and a lively election campaign. Could be good for the USA. Besides, either one of 'em has more brains on their worst day than the entire Bush administration put together. Interestingly enough, at one time the Constitution provided that the LOSER of the Presidential election would be the Vice President. But that got changed sometime in the Jefferson years, after he and Adams couldn't get along, and then I think Aaron Burr fled the country to dodge charges of treason. By the way, saw in the papers today that McCain's 18 year old son just enlisted in the Marine Corps. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity ! Gawain 0 #10 July 31, 2006 Nope. Kerry asked McCain to be his running mate, and was turned down. McCain is a maverick within the Republican party to be sure, but he is a significant figure within the party and I wouldn't be surprised if some on the left continued to underestimate him.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! akarunway 1 #12 July 31, 2006 Jeez guys. Just cause they're getting drunk together doesn't mean they're gonna run together. I wonder if they got drunk and screwed tho. They did say their memories were hazy. But isn't that SOP for politicians?I hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all. Interestingly enough, at one time the Constitution provided that the LOSER of the Presidential election would be the Vice President. That'd be the best case. Either would make an excellent President to the other's Vice-President. There's something that just seems so right about deciding policy by having a vodka-drinking contest. Can't wait to see the debate your candidates have. Maybe they could set up a line of shot glasses on the podiums and get both candidates smashed. "In Vino Veritas"! Mike. Taking the piss out of the FrenchAmericans since before it was fashionable.
