Is UNITED STATES, INCORPORATED founded on christianity?

Recommended Posts

(1) It is freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. If you need clarification, just ask.

(2) I challenge you to find the phrase "separation of church and state" anywhere in the consitution or other laws of this country.

Finding a phrase in a letter written by a founding father hardly makes something law. Even a concept that seems universally agreed upon when mentioned by the founding fathers (no infringment of arms), is not the law of the land today.

you clearly did not pay attention to the letter i posted, the authors of those documents were not christians. Freedom of religion automatically implies freedom from religion. the same way that the "right to CONTRACT in that document specifically grants the right to NOT CONTRACT WITH THE CORPORATION CALLED UNITED STATES. 28 USC 2008

I'd just prefer to go along with what "is" stated in it rather than what I "ass"-ume is implied.

***Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I don't see that it's written quite the way you're wording it. Are you trying to rewrite it?

Nope. You also have the right to free speech; you do not have the right to be "free from" other people's speech. The constitution merely states that Congress can't pass laws that pertain to specific religions.

Sure I do, I can walk away and not listen (or if they are on my property, I can kick them off) - but then I have to make an active choice to do that. They have the right to free speech, not the right to force everyone to listen to them (right to be heard). If I walk away, I'm not infringing on their rights at all.

go read Public Law 102-14, it is a law 'respecting the establishment of religion the 1st amenment reads: Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, abridging free speech or the press, nor of the people's right to redress of grievances(this is not an exact replica of it)

Back to the treaty of Peace and friendship 1783- in the preamble the king of england did NOT relinquish his claim to the united states of America!

Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion,

ahhh, I see the issue with the anti-religious folks (I'm non-religious myself, I don't care and I don't care what other people do)

I think in that context, the word 'respecting' means 'applying to'. In that Congress cannot designate a national religion and make the people follow it.

Rather than 'respect' in terms of treating with a modicum of decency the choices of others and avoiding mean spirited derision of other people's closely held beliefs in the manner that our folks taught us.

I can see how some would read then words, though, as a legal direction to be angry and self-superior to those that have religious beliefs.

well, that settles that;)

George Washington: The United States government is not in any repect founded on the christian religion. Public Law 102-14 National Education day is the incorporation of the Seven Noahide Laws. Properly stated 'a law respecting the establishment of a religion'.

Read the preamble ofthe Treaty of peace and friendship 1783, the king NEVER RELINQUISHED claim to the UNITED STATES, INCORPORATED
